Magenta

The pink winged dragons of the clan are those who deal with the sick, in every stage, from their illness, to their recovery. Magenta is one of the clan's two healers, who works to heal sick dragons with herbal concoctions and her own two paws. Magenta uses no magic for healing, only what she can make or do herself. When dragons come down with winter coughs, or sprained ankles, or scraped tails, or stomachaches after overindulging at a feast, they take themselves to her. Magenta splints, bandages, doses, and scolds all in equal measure. She has her own section in Jade's garden, for healing herbs and plants, and she uses them to make salves, potions, pastilles, and teas for the hurts of the clan.

Of the clan's two healers, Magenta's skills are used the most often. Coral's magical healing is saved for emergencies, when there is a risk of bad infection setting in, of a bone healing wrong and leaving the owner crippled, or even death. Magenta is the one they come to when they want a cup of soothing tea for a hatchling having trouble sleeping, or they slip on the ice and hurt their leg by landing wrong. As a result, she's often much more busy than Coral since they have small injuries much more often than large life threatening ones. Although Coral is a shy quiet dragon, Magenta is loud and authoritative. She has no problem sternly scolding a dragon who persists in eating wild boar even though he knows it makes his stomach hurt, or one who didn't use the cleansing salve like she told her and let her wound get infected. She is, however, always gentle with injured hatchlings, always being truthful to them about whether a medicine will taste bad, or cleaning a scrape will hurt, but following it up with a sweet and a word of praise for their bravery.
