Quote:
Gwyn has been living in the innermost caves since she was born. Hatched from a small fire egg in the depths of the tunnels, her bright blazing eyes and slick cantaloupe ribbons brought out the fire of a motherly spirit in her heart. She grew up watching her kin stumble around trying to store and keep track of the clans supplies. Sometimes she would use her little snoot to push around objects in hopes of helping out. Running around underneath the dragons in the tunnels as a baby started a love for organization.
As Gwyn got older, stronger, she began to take up the task of taking care of the hoard herself. They didn't think one set of paws would be able to keep up with the task, but she outshone their standards with ease. She would catalogue all they had and organized it to a standard she continued to keep as high as the cavern walls. With tons of free time to spare, she outshone most other dragons in her line of work. Gwyn would notify others when they were low on something, even gathering it herself if she knew where to look. Her hide became sturdy over time with the amount of shoving, lifting, constant movement and work.
Eventually, Gwyn got bored, feeling like she could do even more with the spare time she had on her paws. Putting her sweet, loving nature to good use she began to collect wish lists from the young dragons and other clan mates. Whenever she went out looking for extra items for the hoard, she would try and keep a lookout for anything on the lists that she could remember. This lead to a keen, photographic memory for the snapper.
Despite keeping care of the hoard, wish lists, and helping to take care of the hatchlings when they needed it, she still had time to spare. She began to develop a motherly complex, taking care of any extra work she could put on her hardy shoulders. Caring for young ones now and then, helping to take care of older kin, spending time with others to keep them company, she tried her best to make the others around her feel like they were at home and as comfy as possible.
One day, she took some spare time to hang out with an imperial who lived in the Innermost Caves. Learning the gardener’s name was Gleam, she took time to tend to the gardens with her. The dragon loved talking with Gwyn, having fun leaning on someone and blurting out her life story and what she truly wished to do with her life. Gwyn sat there patiently and listened intently, tending to the plants patiently and giving her commentary and feedback whenever she paused in her story. After a successful day spent with Gleam, she offered to come back another day and hang out with her again. Gleam happily complied and they've been taking time to tend to plants ever since.
The same applies to another one of her many friends. Essa was a spontaneous adventurer with a love for gardening as well. Gwyn took time one day to help with her private garden up in the Willow Crest, happy to have another friend to interact with. After another successful day, she to planned to visit with the obelisk again. They continued to meet up, sometimes sewing or committing to other activities. She thrived in the routine, continuing with her regular duties while taking her free time to have fun with her newfound friends.
It was a great life for her, and she constantly said so to others as she went about her days. To this day she continues to organize and store things in the hoard. From transmutation to the smallest plant, the largest weapon to the smallest scrap of cloth, from the clicking little trinket to the wild familiars untamed by her kin, she sorted and cared for it all. She still takes care of the vast amount of wish lists that still pop up now and then. Writing them down and carrying them in the book by her side, glad to see the happy faces that come from the completed lists. Gwyn continues to exceed everyone's expectations with ease, letting her motherly nature take its course and continue on with her serene, peaceful lifestyle.
