Biography

she/her | Healer | in a relationship with Butch

Lotus has been fascinated with the art of healing since she was a child, watching her father and his apprentice work skillfully to treat illnesses and injuries, and it made her want to learn too. The two spent some time teaching her until she grew eager to strike out on her own--to head for the Plaguebringer's domain, so she could learn even more about illnesses and how to treat them by heading for the land where they originated.

In the Abiding Boneyard, she came across a snapper who had been injured--had gotten into a fight with a "customer," he said--and used her skills to treat his wounds, then offered to help him get himself and his wares home. The snapper, introducing herself as Butch, offered Lotus a meal to express her gratitude. Lotus accepted--though she had to explain that she couldn't eat meat, and Butch assured her that was fine.

It turned out Butch had clanmates, and Lotus was surprised by their wariness compared to the friendly and welcoming clan she was born in, but understood that life was harder in the Abiding Boneyard. Butch's eagerness to vouch for her helped, though pointing out how harmless she looked felt a little unnecessary.

Lotus had to admit to herself that she found Butch charming in his odd way, and handsome too. So when she found out the clan lacked a skilled healer, she volunteered to fill the position. Voir, possibly feeling a kinship with a fellow nature-born tundra, agreed with the idea, and his approval was enough to sway most of the clan into agreeing right away. Lotus wouldn't complain about that.

She feels a little out of place sometimes amongst the tough plague dragons, but is eager to help them regardless, and is learning a great deal from them. Butch always offers her unwavering support, and Lotus is grateful for it. Lotus even writes home sometimes, telling her family how well she's doing, and they always respond with love and pride.
