Vatten was born in the dead of winter, as soon as he emerged from his egg all he saw was snow and cold, which he slowly got used to. As a young melon he got to hear a bunch of stories and history's of their family lineage, hearing about his older siblings really inspired Vatten to be like them. Vatten is more of a thinker than a fighter, he is impeccable at thinking of plans and ways to survive, but when it comes to battle... well its best to leave other dragons and melons to do that. Once it was time for him to leave home, he realized he wanted to join a clan in which his siblings lived in, which found him the Mystic Shadow Clan, with his older brother Citrullus. His older brother is quite the opposite of Vatten, although they are both quite smart and enjoy reading, Citrullus is far more adept at fighting and Vatten more equipped for strategy, because of this you often see Vatten hiding behind Citrullus when any battles are being fought.

Not long after Vatten settled into the clan, he found himself being dragged on a mission with his older brother and fighters, they were on their way to visit their parents and other melons for a couple days. Although he was excited, he much preferred staying within the safe walls of the clan but his brother told him to quit it and pushed him from the clans walls. After much talking and food, he found himself on the road home again when he came across a female nocturne with colours like his, upon further inspection he found she was just a normal dragon, but was gravely injured. The warriors of the clan quickly brought her with them, and Sangira - Citrullus mate- worked quickly to heal the dragon, for whom she remembered as they were hatched only years apart and she has come across her before, it was from her that he learned her name was Syrah. Once she woke, Her and Vatten really started to talk and connect, and a few months past before they were officially mates.

The first nest for Syrah and Vatten was born - a nest of 4. The new parents were very excited for their new hatchlings, they decided to name this nest after wine since Syrah was also names after wine. The first baby born was a girl they Called Pinot, the second another girl: Zinfa, the third a boy: Sauvi and finally another boy they named Ries. The first baby to leave was Zinfa, although it took a lot to let her go they were happy that she was going to a clan that had other melons.
