Born to clear skies and peaceful days, Rogue’s birth told nothing of their life. They served another clan once, in another place. They’d watched them strive for the days of peace and calm weather, and watched them hide in their homes during the lash of thunder and rain and war. Rogue was once like them, before she’d watched that clan broken and scattered, refusing to fight. Rogue had stayed, fought, and won only to be struck down by lightning from the raging storm above.
The adrenaline had kept her alive, her heart racing even as the heat and shock of the storm warped her body. She served a new clan now, having followed the scattered forces to their next target. There, she called lightning and bloodshed down upon them – every bit as much a storm as she was a dragon. Rogue didn’t remember her old name or much of her old clan, but they did love their new name, given to them by their new clan – the rogue stormcaller who’d come in the darkest hour between wind and war to save them.
