Biography

MIRTHFUL MASQUERADER

He turned up out of nowhere one day, looking to join the dancer's troupe. Furvus' dragons are wont to welcome in strangers, so he was taken under Pavanne's wing swiftly. Despite his intimidating demeanor, he made fast friends with most of the troupe, at least on a topical level. People found him to have a mild personality and a good sense of humour, so it was easy to like him.

After a few months of performing and demonstrating his skill, a certain set of eyes fell upon him- Prince Vio had taken an interest. Sensing an opportunity, he start performing for the prince in private. A few exciting weeks and a clutch of eggs later, Warrick realized that he actually kind of liked this sort of life. So, despite his best interests, he came clean.

Warrick had been sent on behalf of a few emissaries of the Shadowbinder to assassinate Sahne, the northern lord. He declared on the spot that he'd renounce the job if he could be trusted to stay, and Vio took a while to mull it over. After a while, he'd decided. "I admire your honesty," he'd said, "but at the same time, I also admire your physical prowess. How about, in exchange for my silence on the matter, you show some of your fellow dancers some of that strength, hm?"

By the next morning, Warrick was packing his bags to begin the next of the prince's infamous crusades.

Having returned home from his grueling task, Warrick spends most of his time hanging out and relaxing. He still dances from time to time, especially when he's called on by his prince. He gets along well with the prince's two retainers as well, especially Shadow. The two of them crack jokes and cause mischief, amongst other things.

Despite his early trepidation, he's also gotten a fair amount closer to the companions he took with him on the journey. He's happy to share a comfortable silence with Galley, and doesn't mind listening to Meier mumbling his strange little poems.

He doesn't regret leaving his old life behind for even a second.

Well, I guess it starts here. Of course Vio sticks me with the weirdest ████ing guys in the troupe, but I guess it could be worse. This is what I get for being upstanding. Oh well. At the very least, I know that when I come home, I've got just about the best protection imaginable. Just gotta get through it first.

Easy peasey. I dunno what the fuss is about with this challenge. I mean, I guess it'll probably get harder when we have to go to more dangerous places, but whatever.

Not too bad. Y'know, this whole situation has been really ████ing weird. These two... I mean, I mostly only saw them before when we were working together. Meier's a lot more normal at work. Out here, he's kinda strange. During the day he's quiet, and at night, he can barely focus on fighting because he's too busy peering up at the sky and sighing. Galley is... well, he's Galley. He's friendly, at least.

Not a bad find. From what I understand, the last team didn't find an egg until the very last stop. We've brought back two already. That's gotta count for something, right?

I'm trying to get along better with my companions. They already don't mind my company, since I had to put up a friendly front for work, but of course I wasn't ACTUALLY trying to make friends back then. Now that I'm here, though... I'm realizing that I should probably put the effort in. I'm gonna be out here with them for probably about a year. It would help if I liked them.

Oh man. Oh man. I take back everything I've said about this being easy. This challenge is grueling. I'm never coming back to the beach again.

On the bright side, after almost a month in, I wrote a letter to Vio pleading with him to make our lives easier by sending us an Eliminate stone. Thankfully, he complied. That made life a little less tedious for the last couple of days. I'm never going to get the sand out of my clothes...

On an unrelated note, I've learned that Galley makes this funny little 'hk-hk-hk' kind of noice in lieu of laughing. It's kind of cute.

It's only barely the first. 2:44am. Just after Halloween... Fine by me, though. We'll camp the rest of the night and move on in the morning.

Meier is still slow. He hasn't gotten an eliminate stone yet, so he doesn't hit as hard as Galley and I. Doesn't seem to bother him, though. Nothing really does, honestly.

I'll be honest, I'm really not looking forward to going down into the Cave.

Thank the Eleven. I don't much enjoy being down in that cave at all. Partially because of the environment itself, and partially because it drove Meier absolutely batty. [haha.] Turns out he does NOT like not being able to see the moon at night. Should have seen that one coming, honestly. The Falls are next-- maybe I'll hop in and pay Vio a visit. Probably not.

Hard work pays off, huh? We've been at it constantly this past week. Galley never seems to run out of energy, and Meier was just excited about being back out in the open again. I admit- the falls are kind of nice. I'll miss this place. Time to pack it up, though, because I miss my cozy bed back at home, more.

We're not the first group to come back from the Savannah with a rhino, but it still feels satisfying. These things are massive and not at all easy to handle. I think being able to wrestle one of these things down is a sign that we are, at the very least, starting to synergize with each other a little better. I'm starting to actually warm up to them. Even if Meier weirds me out a little sometimes.

Well, that didn't take much time at all. A bit of a shame, considering how nice this place is. Fighting in the sand IS a little bit irritating, though. Difficult to maintain balance in... I'm especially dreading our next stop. There is nothing even remotely appealing about the Waterway. Here's hoping we spend half the time there that we did here. Haha.

Honestly, I don't mind this place much. It feels different from the other places. In a way, it's sort of similar to my old job. The things that show up to the Arena... they KNOW what they're coming here to do. When we walk into the forest and kill a bunch of deer or birds or whatever, that's just slaughter. THIS is a fight on even footing. I sort of wish more of the job was like this.

We're headed to the Vents, next, and I can't say I'm excited about that. Doesn't get much hotter than standing on active volcanic ground.

The one benefit to the searing heat here is that we can cook the fish we steal whenever we want. We're settling in for a well-deserved dinner now that we've wrangled this Hydra into submission. If it's one thing the lot of us agree on, it's that it's nice to sit down and stuff our faces.

The Pools... I have contradictory opinions. The place itself is gorgeous. I'd love to vacation here. The creatures here, however... also gorgeous, most of them, but the ones that aren't REALLY aren't. I hate those ████ fish. Meier likes the place, especially at night, and Galley likes sticking his face into the water.

And so our time here comes to an end... I really enjoyed it. It's not EASY by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a cool place to be. I like hanging from the old, dilapidated buildings, and slinking around in crumbling alleys. Meier likes it too-- unfiltered access to the raw moonlight. The place seems to unnerve Galley, because he keeps very close to us here. He obviously doesn't say anything, but it's easy to tell he's anxious.

Next up is the Mire-- probably the most visited of all of the venues. Byleth trains his pupils here. I'm not looking forward to mucking around in the swamp and dealing with all of its gross little critters, but a job's a job.

Honestly, I'm not even sure why we unpack at this point. Now we have to put everything back into the bags. Ah well. Can't say I'm too upset about not having to spend too much time in the swamp. The only problem is that we're headed into the ███████ ocean next. I'm NOT looking forward to that. Vio gave us some spell that'll let us breathe underwater for the duration, but it's not like it's gonna take away water physics and make things like 'wearing clothes' not suck. As much as I'd love to fight naked...

Piece of cake. I was right-- I'd still much rather be here than the damned workshop. Even if the frogs are a LITTLE bit intimidating. The frogs and everything else are behind us now, though.
