Lieska is the fierce guardian of the clan. She's strong but not very sharp, usually acts before she thinks and prefers to communicate through grunts and minimum length sentences rather than actually engaging in conversation. But what she lacks in intelligence, she sure makes up in unyielding faithfulness and loyalty. She's most likely the first resident an uninvited guest is going to meet if arriving by wing from above.

The clan and its location are her charge, and she has dug herself a solitary cave on a high cliffside near the clan's hoard, where she spends most of her time watching over her home. Most of the local scorpions reside there with her, for reasons unknown. She never leaves the clan grounds, as she is bound to the lair by her hexed metal cuffs, which she willingly welded shut herself as a sign of devotion to her charge.

Lieska was the first dragon to settle in to the sinkhole, long before it became home to a clan. Her search for her Charge led her to the caved-in, overgrown spot. She didn't really understand what it was about the place that warranted her protection, but she just Knew this was it. She spent years alone, removing weeds, moving boulders, fending away any approaching dragons, until one day Isla and Baldur arrived. That was the second time in Lieska's life she got the feeling that she just Knew. She Knew these two were the dragons she had been waiting for, the reason she'd spent all that time and effort turning the sinkhole into a livable space. She immediately introduced herself to her new acquaintances and told them as much. In a way, she's the first member of the clan, but also probably the sole reason the clan exists as it does today.

There aren't many things Lieska could be said to like, but she absolutely hates anything that's delicate or sophisticated. She doesn't consider herself to be of any specific gender, aside from using she/her pronouns (mostly because 'they' would be a notch too tough on her own brain).

Lieska doesn't usually have any love interests but agrees to rear children out of instinct and responsibility. She is a stern mother to her hatchlings, but there's no place they would ever have as safe a childhood as with her.
