Biography
Baphomet has never claimed to be a good person. While she had never been as cruel as some vampires, she had never been innocent, and she had her share of blood on her claws. However, that all changed on the night she met Rosaline.
Injured from a fight with a rival vampire, Baphomet was sure that she was done for, when she suddenly looked up to see what she was half-convinced was an angel. Rosaline had found her, and rather than run in terror from the obvious predator, Rosaline instead had taken her in, nursed her back to health, and never once flinched away from Baphomet’s fangs or showed any sign of fear (or self-preservation). Unused to such tender care and awed at Rosaline’s bravery, Baphomet was almost immediately smitten.
At first, she attempted to court Rosaline with gifts, rare jewels and expensive silks. But farmers like Rosaline had no use for such trinkets, and the gifts were graciously rejected, one after the other. It wasn’t until Baphomet saw Rosaline struggling with fixing a fence one evening and went out to help her that Baphomet finally saw some progress with her courting. She quickly realized that Rosaline was more wooed by acts of kindness and helping others, and although it went completely against her previous nature, Baphomet was determined to win Rosaline’s heart. To her credit, Rosaline saw how much effort Baphomet was putting into her attempts to become a better person, and it helped her slowly but surely fall for the vampire.
Three years almost to the day since they first met, Baphomet worked up the courage to ask Rosaline to marry her. Rosaline, of course, said yes, and the rest is history.
