a blizzard
in a freak, unnatural storm she became lost. instead of succumbing to the ice and freezing to death, she came across an ancient spirit of the ice. a bond is formed. she stays frozen, in a dream, sharing memories with the spirit, for many years until one day the ice cracked apart, and simply fell away. she peeled herself out the ice, although chunks remained stuck to her skin.
she is forever cold. the ice is forever stuck. she could walk through fire and it would not melt. only ice dragons can tolerate the cold enough to touch her, but even to them the strange nature of the chunks of ice fills them with misgivings.
she prefers to be alone.
she covers her eyes to hide their glassy, frosty vision. she does not need them to see, she has the Spirit for that.
