The Mirror-Fae

There once was a Fire flight Fae
Who, much to his parents' dismay,
Thought he was a Mirror,
And it couldn't be clearer
That their child had been led quite astray.

He said "Mirror or Fae,
Ill love you anyway,

The Mirror-Fae teared up and cried,
And said, once his face was all dried:
"I thank you, my brother!
Though I'm judged by our mother,
I do know I'm a Mirror, inside!"

The Mirror-Fae knew he must go
To begin his new life, and so,
He packed up his things,
Said farewell, spread his wings
And took off in the suns afterglow.

A strong thermal draft,
He tumbled and laughed.

Suddenly everything looked bright

Through the flowers he did romp and roll
When it suddenly hit him, a scroll!
It couldn’t be clearer,
To become a true mirror
A breed change so his scales match his soul!

His heart set on the funds he would raise,
But when he looked in his bank,
His hopeful heart sank,
When a much too small amount met his gaze.

As poor as the Mirror-Fae was,
He decided to work without pause!
Though his emotions were spent,
To the Coliseum he went,
To sell all his loot for his cause!

So he left some behind,

As across the traning fields he strolled!

He was happy, but try as he might,
His mothers words in his head
Filled his sure heart with dread,

He sighed, feeling tired and worn
And upset now his heart was now torn,
But he opened his eyes
And to his surprise,
Came a Pearlcatcher with only one horn!

The Pearlcatcher frowned, and then fret,
And he asked, although the two hadn’t met,
“What’s wrong, little Fae?
Are you feeling okay?
I don’t like when my friends are upset”

He looked tearfully up at the drake,
And asked "Will my choice be a mistake?

The drake then said “Please do not hide
your true self, you should show with pride!
