His jaws open slowly as his voice rumbles out, filling the chamber like the distant roar of thunder.

A simple question but you consider carefully how to answer it; it feels loaded somehow. Finally you answer, and he gives you a look that makes you think that maybe he already knew what you were going to say.
"I see. So long as you continue to keep up your best efforts, you will be welcome here. Welcome and cared for and treated with the same respect you give your fellows."
Spirit gives a small, rare smile and spreads his wings. With a flourish he turns on his heel and vanishes down one of the manor's many hallways, leaving you to find your own way further in.
