The adopted son of Amelia, and adoptive brother of Marun, Astrophel is a young and handsome Obelisk dragon bestowed with the gift of prophecy. While it hurts him to use it, causing him to use it sparingly, Astrophel mainly uses this gift to foretell the prosperity of the cave. He is a quick witted and patient dragon, but has a blazing temper like both of his adoptive parents. Despite being adopted, he is still fond of his biological parentage, and takes great pride in both his biological and adoptive parents being leaders of their respective lairs.
Born to Sugarplum, the 'mother' and main decision maker of her lair, and Dewdrop, Astrophel was one of three hatchlings in the nest. He was one of two brothers, with them both being XYY - therefore, they were spared from being sold as fodder, unlike their sister. Though, Astrophel doesn't quite remember his sister, so he doesn't harbor much strong emotion for it. He was eventually bought by Amelia, a doting Coatl with a fascination for Obelisks, and a lover of the brown/purple color combination. She took him to her lair and gave him a home as her own, adopted son. This allowed for him to be immediately introduced to a life of luxury, and he was bestowed with the gift of prophecy by the goddesses of the Cave Dwellers.

Astrophel is now considered a prince of both the Cave Dwellers and the Rebel City, though if only as a figurehead. He has no actual authority in either land, but Amelia is, and it is rumored that Amelia has considered making Astrophel her heir. I mean, after all, her only other option is Muran, a literal hatchling. Shortly before becoming a fully grown dragon, Amelia gave him a Igueel Matriarch as a gift. In all his wisdom and patience, he named her... Blepp. He has been asked multiple times if he truly wanted to keep that name for her, and he just smiles and nods with a harty, "Yep!" Admittedly, not very much is going on with Astrophel. He enjoys a lax life of luxury, just as Amelia, but he still wants to help in the maintenance and governing of the Cave Dwellers and Rebel City.

His bedroom seemingly has no roof and no floors, as the roof is completely covered with hanging vines, fairy lights, and fabrics that are reminiscent of the constellations caught in Astrophel's mane and wings. The floor and walls are piled with pillows, comforters, sheets, blankets, plushies, and other things of comfort. An ornate table lines one wall with an expensive-looking tea set and platters of foods. Astrophel prepares them himself, taking pride but also being very bashful about his secret love for baking.
