Fury

When he was younger, Fury quickly learned to blend in with the rest. Out of necessity, his home clan wasn’t too friendly. In fact, some dragons might even call it a cult instead of a clan. Of course, Fury didn’t know better at the time. He was still very young and thought that every dragon grew up like him.

Now, years later, Fury is an adult and does know better. He knows that whatever his birth clan was trying to make him be was bad. And he got out of there as soon as he was old enough to flee. He never returned to that place. Never even thought of going back. Fury left everything behind in search of a better life. He left to search for a life without strange rituals, or harrowing teachings.

Sadly though, Fury is still looking for this new home. Despite fleeing the cult some habits have snuck into his very being and have proven to be quite persistent. He still tries to blend in with the rest, subconsciously. It has no added value, he has no ulterior motives… It just happens without him even realizing it. Usually Fury doesn’t notice it until much later, sometimes even after he said goodbye to the dragons he was talking to.

And even worse, Fury is pretty sure that he has never given anybody his real name. And he’s sure he doesn’t do it on purpose! Ok, maybe a little. He doesn’t want to be found by members of his former home after all. But Fury keeps giving different names to different dragons, all based on the teachings of his clan. He internally analyses the dragon he is talking to and gives a name based on what he thinks that dragon would like. It’s infuriating! But Fury can’t seem to stop doing it. It drives him crazy, will he ever open up to someone?

And will he ever find a home? Fury certainly hopes so. But he’s getting less hopeful every day…
