The Mireflies

Said to have been born from will-o-wisps, Mireflies are firey, incorporeal spirits that float around the Mire, startling traveling dragons. Some are kind, benevolent ghosts; guiding lost adventurers out of danger or leading them to hidden treasures. Others are tricksters, leading dragons from the path into tangled woods and deep marshes. Some are more malevolent and might guide you to the jaws of a waiting toridae. Either way, these mysterious beings are not to be trifled with.

This Mirefly is not a nice creature. Full of burning hatred, they constantly set fire to the forests surrounding their lair, driving away any living thing which strays too close. If anyone does get through the wall of fire and stumble into their lair, a muddy, dark bog, it is unlikely they'll ever reappear.
