Once upon a time, in a far far away den, three dragons were hatching.
The first was a black and olive green fae, which squeaked and ran to its mother.
The second two were guardians.
The first was orange and black, the colours of Halloween, so they named it Samhain.
But the last dragon to hatch was... Wrong. It's eyes were sparkling and had no pupils...
And around it were Runes. Yes, this was a true child of the arcanist, a blessing...
And a curse.
The female grew. She was beautiful, and the cleverest dragon for miles.
Folk whispered about how she was the arcane flight incarnate.
But she? She was lost.
She hated the attention. She wanted to be like everybody else.
So she made herself a mask. It was blue, shaped like a tundra, and her sister made one too.
And that, my friends, is the story of Rune.

You notice a black and brown guardian in the room with you. She stares at you. You cannot see her face as it is masked by a tundra mask. But she rips half of it off in a single, smooth movement. Her mouth moves, and you think she has whispered something. "No more pretending to be normal."
