Boggard, born on All Hallows’ Eve, is one of the clan’s more intelligent dragons – which makes it all the more infuriating that he uses his cunning to wreak havoc and mischief upon the unprepared. Some of the dragons find his antics entertaining, but for the most part he only annoys them and his pride does not make him any more tolerable. The only one to find a crack in his armour is the Skydancer Nela, whom Boggard appears to have a hidden soft spot for.

In addition to a Snapper’s diet of plants and seafood, Boggard also eats hats - to Virrin's dismay - and he refuses to wear any sort of clothing.
