Biography

The hatching was small and frail, with underdeveloped wing membranes little more than flaps of skin along its back, and two fused heads twisting and blinking blindly at the sun. The children of Nature had seen and abandoned it, concluding that it was not meant to survive any longer. A shorter time on the wheel than most, but such was the circle of Life. Alone, it had dragged its tiny body to the border of the wartorn land. There were still strands of egg sac and traces of dirt along its back.

The God of Disease saw all of this and bent and scooped it up, cooing softly. "Oh, little one, you are strong indeed to have made it this far. Rest now. We will make you stronger yet."
