════════════════════════════════════════ AVIVA ; godly necromancer ════════════════════════════════════════ Originally, she was benevolent. Originally, the dark Skydancer used her abilities to heal others; and she truly did try to learn her craft. However, her magic was not helping. She’d known that she was created as the Stormcatcher’s loyal reaper, one who rounded up … inefficient workers. Her magic was tailored exactly to that role, and once she had been replaced with a more ruthless reaper, Aviva found that death magic did not particularly love to cooperate with life. Most of those she tried to heal ended up at death’s door, and she had no idea how to revive them. She spent days in grief over it, before deciding to end her practice. She pivoted to death magic, allured by its temptations and its promise of absolute control. Through her healing practice, she learned many poisons, and if ever needed, she would utilize her knowledge. Occasionally, some minor deities would seek her out to cut off the loose end — the reaper that had slipped through the Stormcatcher’s spindly claws. She’d simply offer them some tea, and what do you know — lavender tea could be terribly lethal sometimes. Meanwhile, Aviva had found a way to counter the pull of death magic; necromancy. Her natural talent assisted her in learning, but besides that, it was a struggle. Aviva spent many weeks over failed experiments, many hard nights besides a flickering lamp, before she even revived rats. Slowly, the reaper that had been working on a moral way to weave her deathly magic lost her sanity, and her sense of morals, as she began carelessly killing just to obtain a subject for future experiments … Out of the Forsaken, Aviva may just be the only deity still retaining close to full power.  | x |
