Battle worn Kelorn and his druid son could see the fight in this dragon. A strange dragon at that. She was a weird hatchling full of energy, but still so kind to the dragons around her. Kelorn could tell something was bothering the now grown dragon. "What rattles your scales?" The Imperial melon dragon towered over them but she still had that clumsy hatchling grace. "Forsaken Fruit attack melons! Beast clans attack melons! Melons did nothing wrong." "I think she wants to defend home. Beast clans coming this far? There's a lot of farm lands here." Tea looked to his father. "We will take her under wing and train her. I wouldn't want her to fly off and get hurt or worse without knowing how to defend herself." Kelorn's rusted armor clattered as he turned. "Follow young melon. We'll train you."

There was much to learn from the older Wildclaws. The new melon patch was so welcoming, but she missed her old patch after the fight. Training was not easy. Kelorn was strict with his lessons. He was fast in battle with a lot of experience and a great teacher. Tea was more gentle, but still fierce in battle. He taught her how to make medicines and how to bandage her wounds. Tea was more soft spoken and hung out in the forests around the clan areas. Melondy would walk with him in the mornings and listen to his lectures on different plants. She had learned a lot with the teachings from these two, and there was still so much to learn. One day she met a new dragon that smelled sweet like her. He had joined her new melon patch family. His markings familiar to the stripes on her rind. Fruitsalad was his name. Kelorn and Tea took interest with bringing him to sparring practice. He was a goofy melon.

"It doesn't take hard concentration." The little multi-green Fae dragon laughed at the melon trying to concentrate with a funny face. "Fractal show. Fractal knows much. Fractal teach." The green Fae closed his two emerald eyes. Melondy watched him curious at what he was talking about. It was still and quiet in the atmosphere. There was a gentle sway from the wind against the wing membranes of the Fae. Soon a second pair of eyes opened. Then a third. Then a fourth. Then more. Finally the Fae opened his original pair of emerald eyes. "Now you try." Melondy huffed quietly to herself and sat down. "Little melon speaks of third eye? Me don't understand well but will try." She closed her unusual sapphire eyes and remained quiet. The little Fae told her to think of the stars, planets, space, and beyond. The only stars she saw was from the ground looking up, but she began to see. She saw a vastness of space. Pink and purple dust clouds, or what she could tell. She did not understand. She could feel a change as a second pair of eyes opened. Then a third. Her third eye opened. She gasped in shock from being able to see when her eyes were closed, but open at the same time and paced sporadically in circles. Fractal laughed. "Fractal is happy. Fractal sees you have sight too. Fractal not alone." "Me no understand." Melondy opened her eyes.... eyes??? All of them. This would take some time. A lot of time. And many future conversations with Fractal.
