Biography
An ancient beast, unable to comprehend the changes levied upon it. ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ
ㅤ
A tired soul, who thought he could find freedom beyond the endless white void.
ㅤ
Something constraining it...Something...growing...? ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ
ㅤ
And, xhuth, he was prepared to be wrong, but he wasn't prepared to be this wrong.
ㅤ
The bounds of its prison expanded, fragmented... ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ
ㅤ
He thought he left it behind. He would leave a curs'd place and achieve peace.
ㅤ
It could worm its way out. Squeeze through the cracks. Fill up these new spaces until they burst open into newer fragments, then fill those, too. ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ
ㅤ
These cursed flowers! Endless dark flowers burst out from inside him wherever they can find purchase. He can't even cut them back, they yield not to blade nor fang.
Wherever he wandered, Bedwyr felt a terrible bleakness in his old home. Hatched into this...whiteness without end, where even the sun felt cold and distant, he thought himself unlucky for the location his parents had chosen to nest.
This barren landscape left a painful, hollow listlessness inside him. He thought that if he escaped the barenness, he could escape the hollowness. That they were one and the same. That this emptiness within was caused by the emptiness without.
So he flew, and he flew, and he flew...
Hopping from territory to territory, looking for somewhere that felt less hollow.
His first stop, the Ashfall Wastes, was a cruel mirror of his first home. Here, the snow was black instead of white, and hot red water ran where the cold glacial runoff should flow.
Each new landscape beyond the volcano grew more and more alien, but they all felt equally hollow. He didn't know what he was looking for. He visited the ten lands, even the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He didn't find it.
The hollowness was inside him, Bedwyr realised too late. He carries it with him wherever he goes, and it poisons his perception of the world.
He has inherited his father's curse. Fragments of Shade are growing inside him, and they're eating him alive. Incomprehensibly, they seem to be growing flowers.
He still quests for peace. Only now, he knows what he's looking for: A way to rip out these hungry flowers.
