Scorpio is the eighth child of Herma and Flann, and even though he wasn't interested in moving on to serve the Gladekeeper, he still wanted to broadly serve his community. His warm appearance and personality soon found him tutoring and mentoring younger dragons, a role he took on wholeheartedly.

Eindride's beautiful rainbow colors drew Scorpio's attention, but he quickly noticed that other dragons in the lair seemed to steer clear of her. He was determined to learn more about her, and in the course of doing so, the two became enamored. Their first nest produced only one egg, and the hatchling, Grapevine, quickly moved on to serve the Gladekeeper.
