A desire or hope for something to happen.

Biara couldn't possibly give her Beings everything they desired or wanted. She needed to give them a drive to work and succeed. Sometimes, these goals were far from their reach. Beings began to feel an inner desire for their goals that they knew they could never achieve. Whether it'd be wealth, power, love, or even just a thought of something going right. Beings would share their desires to others in forms of writing, art, and speech.
The Beings had desires. The Beings had wishes.

The formation of wishes brought along the awakening of another Essence. An Essence tasked with gathering and keeping note of every wish of every being. Wishes formed the Wish Keeper.

Farghoul knew, and would sometimes act out on, the desires of Beings. Granting their wishes and giving them hope. These desires gave Farghoul the strength he had to keep doing what he does. Without wishes, Farghoul would be no more.

On occasion, a petal from the roses of Farghoul will fall into the earthly plain. Beings who stumble across a petal are encouraged to hold onto it, as it's said to be a sign of good luck.
