Biography
The winter wolf was once an idealistic imperial hatchling determined to fit in with her adoptive clan. That changed once she met her fellow imperials. The one she was selected to be a mate for preferred to run with the savage mirrors, and any attempts to get to know the old imperial ended with the hatchling on the ground and savaged to the point of near death by the mirrors.
"Oh, it's a pity that you're not getting along." The crimson imperial told her one day. "The clan will decide they have no use for you, and then--" The crimson imperial held one dirty claw to the winter wolf's throat. "You'll meet the gods one way or another." The crimson cackled and flew off.
Afraid for her life, the imperial hatchling moved to the coldest edge of the territory and hid from all the other dragons. She learned to hunt and defend herself. If someone were to try to kill the imperial, they would have to survive first.
Ironically, this in itself made her useful to the clan.
