The disgraced heiress to a noble clan in the upper class society of the Fortress of Ends. Nobody in Clan Willowbreeze knows EXACTLY what happened that lead to her disgraced status, as she tells it slightly differently every time. Most have pieced together that she publically embarrassed her husband-to-be at an esteemed event. But Arychi was never content to live her life as the arm candy to some drake in an arranged marriage. And what the clan doesn't know is that the event happened to be her own wedding.

With the help of her retainer, Kotori, she fled from the Southern Icefield (not an easy feat for one who was sheltered for most of her life!). Using her stolen dowry, she bartered her way across the small section of sea between the Icefield and the Windswept Plateau. Exhausted from her flight and travels, she accepted the eager generosity of the artisan clan before deciding she rather enjoyed it with them, and chose to stay permanently.

For all her boasting of her daring escape, Arychi knows she never would have survived without Kotori. A spoiled heiress who had taken her personal guard for granted in her younger days, the violent and unforgiving landscape of home (and several near-death experiences) built a strong bond of trust and friendship between the two. Kotori refuses her gifts of gratitude, as he always has, but Arychi hopes the dragon who became her best friend knows how important he is to her.

Arychi honed the needlecraft skills her tutors from home had taught her, and quickly became Clan Willowbreeze's expert tailor. Her eye for fashion is popular among younger dragons, and many ladies leave her boutique flustered from her attentions. The traveling textile merchants are always happy to see her, and her charming nature makes it easy to pick up the juiciest gossip.
