To be born in under the element of Plague is to be born of death, decay, famine, and destruction. So, all the things that many other dragons tend to fear and despise. Or they view them as things to be eradicated. It’s this innate hate that others feel for those of Plague that inspired Morrigan to become what she is today: an ambassador.

When Morrigan grew up she was surrounded by others like her so it was really never a problem. No hate, no fear, no feeling like she was wrong: a freak. It wasn’t until she got older that she began to see the problem. The problem wasn’t her, it never was, the problem was how people viewed her. Without ever actually meeting her people made a snap judgment by the color of her eyes, the apparel she wore, and the magic she had the ability to cast. She was born with this perfect combination of things that would cause her to be feared: skill with magic, a liking towards the more gory and goth apparel, and her red eyes. All things she couldn’t control even if she wanted to. Which, she didn’t.

After being the victim of a system that says she was warped she decided things needed to change. Not her, the system. That is why she is an ambassador for the Plague element. She’ll embrace her ways and teach others that the Plague element and the dragons born under it are completely normal and fine.

Somewhere along the way she ended up with her current clan. They aren’t bad per se, actually, they are the opposite, they are wonderful. It’s the knee-jerk reaction they have to her that causes her to be off guard. Instead of embracing and being a socialite she prefers being a loner. It’s weird to her, but she enjoys watching the rest of the clan. But then again, she’s always been a loner. Never once has she taken a mate, nor, for the most part, had an interest in such. But, if her hand was forced, maybe. But that is a big maybe. She would rather take a mate for the use of witchcraft or to satisfy her physical wants than of actual love.
