"It's not the best job, but someone needs to do it."

Bewitched is, in her own words, a garbage collector. She is often seen along the Outskirts lugging around trash bags that are larger than her. Where this waste is disposed of, nobody knows or cares. After all, why worry about that when someone is doing a vital service for the community? Still, one must wonder who hired her, as nobody was awaiting her arrival.

"An old lady like me can't get much else work anywhere else, anyhow."

What does she think of everyone, seeing and feeling and knowing of everything that they dispose of? Does she even care? What makes her load shift and squirm at night when nobody is awake to see? What business does she have bringing them to the tunnels of the Quarantine Zone, emptying strange shapes into the cavernous maws?

"It's almost funny, before I got this job I was no better than the rubbish you all leave here."

Bewitched's shoulders shudder. It was never supposed to be easy, of course, but if there was one thing the Veilspun was always good at it was doing what she was told. Lugging the icy statue over her head, she tossed it into the cavern, quietly watching it tumble down the hole. The fall wouldn't shatter it, of course, but there was no way that the Obelisk would wake up without bumps and bruises.

Do you think it hurts, knowing that these dragons would likely never see the light of day again? Perhaps not. Bewitched's job was to be a garbage collector, after all, and all garbage had to go somewhere in the end. Plus, the pay was pretty good.
