The Island’s Oracle wrote:
Personally, Excidium had always thought that the title of ‘oracle’ didn’t quite fit him.
Sure, he could see flashes of the future occasionally, but the bigger part of his ‘job’ — not exactly wanted in the first place, although he couldn’t really back out of it now — was to keep the secrets of the Island.
And boy were there many.
The Island seemed harmonious on the surface, sure, and to an extent, it really was. Bei was eerily good at making everyone like her, to one extent or another, and frankly, he was a little impressed with her charisma. But that didn’t hide the divide between those assimilated to life on the Island, and those that weren’t. It didn’t hide the animosity that some dragons had with each other, though the tension usually remained low, somehow — probably from the Island’s magic.
Sometimes, it wasn’t too obvious; in fact, there were days where there didn’t even seem to be a divide at all. Other times, it was there if you looked a little closer; the Island had its own rules, after all, and as far as he was aware, those unassimilated were often unnerved by the Island’s lack of care towards their own hatchlings, other than not wanting them to be exalted. They were usually even more unnerved by the reciprocal of that lack of care.
Personally, Excidium found it weird, too. Still, he wasn’t unaware of himself to the point where he didn’t know that he, too, was slowly getting used to it all. He was the oracle of the Island, after all, and the unofficial Wishkeeper — a position highly regarded in many clans — of it as well; of course he had to get used to it. Besides, the life he now lived wasn’t bad.
Yawning, he rose from his perch as the dawn’s rays filtered through his windows. He pushed himself up to a sitting position, as soft steps were heard growing closer to his house.
Yes, Excidium rather liked staying on the Island after all.

please read this if you’re gifting!:
Ordered from most to least wanted! Please don’t give me dragons if I don’t have the lair space for them, and don’t just send me a bunch of baldwin mats. Other than that, go wild!
to whoever is in charge of SSE for me: ignore the hibden part!

- Dark Gene/Dark Gene/Light Circuit (examples: Bakura)
- Even better if they had Dark Starmap/Dark Constellation or Facet/Light Circuit.
- Alternatively, Dark Gene/Dark Gene/Light Runes and Dark Gene/Dark Gene/Light Opal works too.
- Any warm coloured dragons (red/orange/yellow) (examples: Aberdith, Pulp)
- In particular, dragons like Excidium here.
- Dragons that are either reminiscent of the sun or of the moon OR Asian-themed.
O T H E R S
- Food. A whole lot of it (at least a stack). Preferably insects.
- Treasure or gems. A lot of them (at least 10kt/g+?).
- Chests/Crates. Don’t really care what kind you send me, but please don’t just send me a rusted chest and call it a day.
- Apparel. Preferably large ones (like coats or cloaks), although I don’t really mind smaller ones. I do like circlets and wing silks though.
- Baldwin Mats. Once again, don’t really care what kind. Don’t just send me one or a few, though, and don’t just give me these for giving threads.
- Familiars. Any will do, especially if I don’t have them yet (which is very likely).
- Skins/Accents. Just about any, really. Especially if they can look good on my permas haha
- Genes. Who knows, maybe I’ll have use of them in the future.
- Art. Art for dragons is always welcome!
- Eggs!
