Haresk is a wandering archivist who believes in the beauty of the unknown, as well as the beauty of himself. He will travel across Sornieth recording all of his experiences, then return back to his home in the Starwood Strands to share and organize all of his obtained knowledge, flaunting it around to the locals and his clanmates. Although this may make him come off as arrogant to outsiders, the locals can't really find it in their hearts to think ill of the fae, as he comes off as more charming and playful than anything else.
|
No one knows what Haresk's origins were before he became an inhabitant of the Strands except for his fellow clanmate Wadjet, who was the one to introduce him to her clan in the first place. She had found him on the outskirts of the Tourmaline Archives looking lost and saddened, and when the spiral inquired on why he was so down, he explained that his findings were rejected from the library as they had already recorded many of the things that he had. The fae felt at a loss of what to do in his life, as the knowledge he sought after seemed to already be readily attainable and unwanted by his fellow scholars. In an effort to cheer him up, Wadjet had suggested giving his records more flair and making them more appealing to the average dragon, which he quickly became inspired by and took to heart. Haresk will study and write about anything he deems to be interesting enough for him, which seems to change every week. He may also take requests from those interested but not capable of the researching lengths that the fae can, to which he'll go through great lengths to find out about every single thing he can regarding the subject. He has become a bit of a celebrity to the locals, and although it gets to his head sometimes, it ultimately motivates him to continue his studies and push himself further to create better works. One can praise him for the amount of effort he puts into his studies, though he could also be praised for the care he puts into making the work presentable and appealing to his fellow dragons through means a regular scholar most certainly wouldn't commit to. |

Whenever Haresk would publish his new findings, he would be sure to include lots of illustrations, filled with color, and glitter. So, so much glitter. Thanks to Wadjet's encouragement, Haresk found a secondary task to accomplish in his knowledge-seeking ways: head-turning presentation! All of his books sparkle and glimmer to catch the attention of any curious reader who comes across them, and his methods have ended up making his findings appeal to those who previously didn't care about what his books are about. This is what he believes to be his purpose - to present the art of knowledge to normal dragons and to get them interested in the little things they may not know about, and perhaps encourage them to be scholars as well! |
