Bringer of Hail, Lone Singer of the Snow

______ In the midst of an icy realm, there is nothing but hail and snow for as far as the eye can see. No matter how long the lost hatchling walked in one direction, it's as if they haven't moved an inch. It's strange, but there are no landmarks to mark the way, just a white blanket of snow. Shivering, the child turned in a circle, momentarily forgetting where they came from. Wait, no they're sure it's that way! Or was it that way? No, they can't be lost!

______ A sudden sound on the howling wind caught their ears. What was that? It was no haunting howl of a wolf and didn't sound threatening either. It was a lilting note, like a song. Curious, the hatchling began to follow this barely audible sound. As they traveled through the thick snow, the blizzard began to get lighter, the air warmer and more tolerable. They could see the sky! Now that they saw the stars to lead them in the correct direction, the relieved child look back down ahead of them, only to freeze in both fear and awe. Before them, singing to the sky, was an ethereal-looking dragon.

______ That was the sound they heard, and now that they were closer to the source, it was lonely, but beautiful. The song began to fade from their ears, the tantalizing tones that defies any known words disappearing without a trace. The dragon had turned to stare at the small hatchling, silent as if no song had ever been sung. For a minute, there was no noise, the blizzard around them muted. Then the dragon took a step forward, the icicles on his horns glinting in the starlight.

______ "Child, are you lost? Or have you come to seek the Soother?" The hatchling looked nervous, before they nodded. They were too nervous to talk. The scales of the dragon before them seemed to shift in different hues of blue. It was mesmerizing.

______ "Ah, a Nameless One? My dear child, follow me and I will take you to see her." The great dragon looked down on the forlorn hatchling. The poor child. It seemed many Nameless children were trying to brave the freezing realm to find his mother. He turned, walking with purpose back into the blizzard, his tail lowering to allow the child to latch onto it. Hailstorm's mother would berate him if the child got lost in his presence.

Hailstorm is a G3 Ausra, a glitched scroll lineage dragon. There were three hatchling from the dragon Firuxe; who had a faulty imperial scroll applied to him. Firuxe was changed back to a wildclaw but his hatchlings remained imperial dragons.
