Biography
"Don't judge a thing 'til you know what's inside it
Don't push me, I'll fight it"
they/them | seeker
Tempest is a natural-born fighter, strong and fearless and utterly unstoppable. They were well-trained to fight and defend before properly taking on the role of a seeker, one which they are highly effective at. They embody everything a gaoler should be--except for their free spirit and utter resentment of the Icewarden. Seeker was the ideal order for them because it meant they could leave His domain--and after saying a final goodbye to their parents and nestmate, leave they did.
Knowing their family's devotion to serving the Icewarden, they never expected to see any of their kin in their travels, especially not in the Gladekeeper's domain. But pursuit of a shade-creature led them to where a small clan resided in the Everbloom Gardens, where they took the creature down with the help of a pair of guardians--a mother and son who called themselves Blossom and Birch. The guardians invited Tempest to come home with them, to rest and have their injuries treated, and Tempest accepted.
And then they met the clan's healer--who, despite being named Thorn, was softhearted even for a tundra--and his apprentice--a gaoler who looked very, very familiar, and seemed suspiciously alarmed at the sight of Tempest. Tempest thought he might be some kind of criminal taking shelter in such a small, unassuming clan, but when they went to give some warning the healer confronted them before they could say a word. Thorn's tranquil fury as he asked why his apprentice, whom he cared for like a son, was so afraid of Tempest was more frightening than outright aggression would've been.
Having confirmed Saar was no criminal and Tempest didn't intend to harm him or take him away from the clan, things settled down. Tempest actually managed to talk to him about the one common ground both were aware of--growing up in the Southern Icefield, which was how they found out they were siblings. When Tempest left the clan to continue their work as a seeker, it was on amicable terms with their brother despite their confusion regarding his lifestyle. They visit when they get a chance.
