Biography

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It's not the blood of maidens...really.
Born on the outskirts of the Seedscar, Bathory had some knowledge of the Viridian Labyrinth from birth...or at least, tales of it. While most of her clan were content to remain in the Plaguebringer's realm with their passed-down stories, Bathory longed for more and ventured out while still young to learn about the neighboring realm. What she found was that her childhood stories were a combination of truth and fiction, exaggerations and conjecture, showing only a fragment of the reality of the Labyrinth. Yes, there were soft, peace-crying nature dragons, bedecked in blossoms and glittering gems...but there were also dragons like her, too - wanderers from the Plaguebringer's territory who had found the realm not unpleasant. There were dragons the like of which she'd never seen before. Some dragons seemed to be a mix of all of them. One nature lair held dragons of so many colors, sizes and personalities that she didn't know where to begin with trying to understand them. The lair leaders, introducing themselves as Hermaphroditus and Flann, stood in stark contrast to each other, one radiating glitter and color, the other encumbered with bones, feathers, dried herbs and other indications of death and decay. How was it possible this lair survived and thrived, Bathory wondered. None of the stories had prepared her for this. Flann smiled gently at her confusion and introduced her to the dragons of the lair who studied the paranormal and spirituality. Some had skeleton-like patterns on their skin, just as she did; others wore the bones and hides of birds and beasts as an extra layer. She stared; was it possible the dragons of the Viridian Labyrinth were not so different from those she knew at home? Bathory agreed to stay in Islandheart's Lair, on the condition of being able to return to the Seedscar and the Scarred Wasteland as a de facto ambassador to the plague flight. She needed to be certain this information was delivered to her kin. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
