Aku
Sculptor, Vendor, Delver Aku thrives in the stony depths of the Greatwyrm's breach, always finding a new mineral palette on which to create her sculpted works. Even as she finds special pieces in her daily life, she ventures deep underground all across Sornieth to find strange and special ones as her art struggles to find a suitable place to sit. She refuses to create a work that 'betrays its material', as she considers the substance's story to be just as important as the sculpting itself. A stone eroded heavily by water may be the resting place of a drowning figure, a stone kicked around by hatchlings destined to display a work of joy. She does not just delve across the world simply for herself, however- a large part of her time digging is spent searching for useful materials for the clan's use. It pays off her shop's upkeep and protection, anyway, and serves as a peaceful form of work compared to her busy shoprunning or emotional sculpting. She conducts all of her business with a smile, as well as deep reverence towards the stories her artwork tells of. |

Relationships
As a large Obelisk, Aku sometimes needs assistance in creating the small and fine details in her work. That's where her familiar, X, comes in handy. They're old friends and business partners, and they seem to know each other like the back of their claws... X's individual work is sold in Aku's shop, though Aku handles all of the salesmanship. Aku is the adoptive mother of Cobblyn. The Primal-eyed hatchling seemed to Aku as something of a blessing, and she believes that the child has some incredible future ahead of him. She loves to watch him grow, maintaining a strict attitude with him, but she always makes sure to put a smile on his little face at the end of the day. His little friend Agaric is often over for playdates, and she spoils the little Coatl, much to his (and Cobblyn's) dismay... |
