Biography

It's time to turn the lights out. You wander the halls of your lair, moving from room to room, ensuring everything is in its place before you snuff the candles lighting the room. You hear a sound, distant. Scratching. You're not quite sure what it is but it doesn't alarm you. Perhaps a young one has gotten up from bed. You continue methodically on your task, making your way to the young one's rooms to chide the one who had gotten up. Only... you find everyone perfectly sound asleep. You continue to hear the scratching as well, nearer now. Following the sound you make your way to the source, completing your initial task along the way. The noise is coming from behind an old mirror, hanging on the wall outside your room. You lift it off the wall to investigate, perhaps a small rodent had made its home there. You put your ear to the wall and you hear... nothing. You wait a few moments, listening intently. Still nothing. Suddenly you feel a sharp pain in your fingers. Startled you drop the mirror that was in your hands, sending it crashing to the floor. Checking your hand you find a small hairline cut that's bleeding ever so lightly. Cursing your luck you turn your attention to the mirror you had dropped. You carefully lift it up, leaning it against the wall. Shards of glass escape the frame. You sigh as you pick up your lantern you had set down before, heading towards the place where you keep your broom among other cleaning supplies- a closet a few steps down the hall. You turn to look once more as you are reaching for the broom at the cracked mirror against the wall. Your gaze is drawn to the void left where the shards had fallen out.

You see a pair of eyes staring back at you.
A hand reaches.
