Gerome is a wandering Forest Guard. He doesn't live in the lair (only takes rest there once in a while), as he spends his nights in the look for dragons that may have lost their way in the forests he is in at the time, he guides travelers towards safety, offers them a place to stay or helps in their quest, anything in order to satisfy a need or wish. He is a borrower of gratitude.
He earned the nickname of 'Dreamcatcher' among those fortunate enough to see him, due to him always locating his charge only when they lay asleep or when the are near exhaustion, as for it's easier for him to offer guide in those times one would seem desperate.
On the occasions he is seen within the lair one is sure to hear of his adventuring and travels. He is always willing to take companions on his travels, that is if they muster the courage to wander through mysterious woods far beyond home on their own volition. He understands when his request is denied and shrugs nonchalantly at the occasional rejection. It's not a life for everyone, he muses.
