History:
Pelageya was hatched into a small nomadic, charge-less group of Guardians wandering about Sornieth. The Guardians happened to be in the Shifting Expanse at the time, and so the natural ambient Lightning magic of the region infused Pelageya's egg and influenced her to be a Lightning dragon. Pelageya was thus gifted with both the skill to charge her claws with electricity, and had a mind with a bent towards a mechanical aptitude.

Living with nomadic Guardians was difficult. They got into frequent fights with powerful foes, and losses were not unknown to them. Pelageya grew strong and fast to be able to defend herself and contribute to the defense of her fellow nomads. However, as the nomads were Guardians culled from multiple elemental Flights, her aptitude with mechanical systems was not readily recognized or accepted, and she felt intellectually stifled. On top of that, as she grew older, her instinct to go on her Search grew stronger. Eventually, she had to take her leave of the nomads just as they were preparing to leave the Shifting Expanse. The nomad Guardians accepted this, as it was natural of all their children, though those that failed in their Search usually found their way back to the group.

Pelageya wandered the Shifting Expanse on her own, making her way through the Highland Scrub sub-region, when she came across a miniscule Fae dragon trying to build a machine to dig a cave big enough for an Imperial into a cliff face. He wasn't doing well, but he had managed to construct the first prototypes entirely on his own. She took pity on the small Fae, and was also taken in by his ingenuity and intelligence for even getting so far on his own. Using her strength and her own natural engineering skill, she built for him a much stronger, more stable digging machine and helped it carve out the cave with her own physical power. Mitri had been smitten with her, and as Pelageya felt enormously protective of him from the moment she saw him, she was rather smitten with him right back. She was also rather amused with how awkward he was on their first night together with her being thirteen times his size, but ingenuity beat out inexperience. Pelageya had found her charge.

Today:
Pelageya is Mitri's co-engineer on many projects, and holds daily intellectual debates with him on the finer points of engineering. While the tiny dragon has a natural grasp of massively complex mechanisms that escapes Pelageya, she is frequently able to see solutions that he does not. Pelageya has also become a powerhouse of a dragon not to be trifled with, and is the Mechavolt clan's strongest fighter, able to sheath her body in electricity as she hammers enemies with her claws and mass.

Pelageya loves her two children from Mitri, Arashi and Ehrde (both Fae hatched from the Guardian), with all her heart. She also has affection for their adopted Guardian daughter, Anaisa, who was found as a lost Lightning egg while exploring the Shifting Expanse before Arashi and Ehrde had even finished incubating.

Recently, Mitri and Pelageya undertook a new magical engineering project, greater in aspiration than any before. With the two clan Founders working together, and with the assistance of all the other dragons of other Elements in Mitri's Clan, they created a great Lightning infusion machine with components of other elements. Mitri and Pelageya stepped into the machine together. It became surrounded with a halo of Lightning energy as it was turned on. When Mitri and Pelageya stepped out, their bodies had changed--now, not only did they have mystical designs in their hides that enhances channeling magic into machinery, their bodies are now composed of a living metal substance that has further enhanced their magical engineering capabilities.

In celebration of the success, Mitri and Pelageya laid their second clutch of eggs, but the new children have desires to see the wider world...

Familiar:
Once while on an expedition, Pelageya was attacked by several vicious sakura and wildwood owls. Pelageya laid waste to them and sent most of the tree-owls packing, but one wildwood had been injured enough that it could not even flee. Pelageya stood over the creature, and realized it would be cruel to condemn the now-defenseless creature to a slow death. Pelageya dragged the creature to shelter in the forest, and fed it some food for several days. Once the owl had healed, Pelageya left, but the owl followed her home. Pelageya eventually properly befriended the wildwood owl, learning from the simple, primitive creature that its name was Koonian. Koonian eventually became a sort of assistant to the clan, looking and cleaning up after the others.

One day, the Bramblewood Grove clan snuck into the Mechavolt lair and left behind a crate with something moving inside, not the first time they had done so. Pelageya investigated, and found a black iron creeper golem, from the newly-rediscovered ancient Golem Worshop of the Tempest Spire. Pelageya, as a mechanical mind like Mitri, immediately took a liking to the autonomous machine, naming it Wrecker for its occasional tendency to want to dismantle other insect-like machines. Koonian, by this time a trusted assistant of the clan, was given as a caretaker to a Tundra dragon freshly hatched from an abandoned and found Water egg.
