Born with the love of blacksmithing, Andromeda could never truly follow her passion in her homeland, where archaeologists and historians wouldn't allow a mere spark near their precious ruins that "hid invaluable history." Tired of her little success, Andromeda decided to travel to the Ashfall Waste to seek his true calling. However, upon arrival, the dragon was dismayed at the chaos and smoke that choked the land and its dragons.
The thick, pungent smoke clawed at his lungs, making breathing difficult and painful, and the hot-tempered dragons were not completely welcoming towards the inexperienced smith trying to make a name for himself. Despite Andormeda's passion, her main education in smithing at home was through reading, not practice, since it was virtually impossible to find an adequate forge in her homeland. The broiling flames in the Molten Scar, where Andromeda arrived, terrified him. Although she stayed in the frightful, flaming landscape for many years, doubt and impatience were growing in her heart as time went on. Andromeda did learn helpful skills and gained invaluable experience, crafting his "Incense Mantle" and still wears it to this day," all of his progress came at the cost of difficult breathing and discomfort. He also grew homesick of his sunlit land. The flames of the forge were not the same as the sunshine on her scales. Despite his improvement, Andromeda had earned little respect from surrounding dragons and only a few had the heart to help the rookie blacksmith. They mostly ignored the struggling dragon, until a kind spiral dragon approached Andromeda.
The spiral dragon introduced herself as Medusa, who was growing tired of the smoky landscape filled with unruly dragons. She had watched Andromeda for many years, growing fond of the persistent dragon, but she could see the same discontent in Andromeda that Medusa saw in herself. Medusa offered to take Andromeda with her, because she was planning to travel to the Gladeveins in the Viridian Labyrinth, where Medusa could live in the serene nature and forage for plants like she always dreamed of. Andromeda accepted the spiral's offer, finally having an excuse to leave the dreaded fiery lands. Andromeda felt accomplished enough in his smithing skills, and maybe the Gladeveins would be welcoming to his smithing.
When the duo arrived at their destination, they were entranced by the beauty of the Nature flight's lands. Lush trees, beams of sunlight peeking through their emerald leaves, and dancing blossoms greeted the weary dragons. The air was not clogged with foul smoke, rather it tasted of honeysuckle and soothed their lungs. Both dragons knew they made the right choice coming here.
