Though his looks may be intimidating Ozul is a gentle soul. The guardian is polite, soft spoken and well mannered, if a bit stiff and does his best to alleviate any discomfort his appearance may cause to those around him. The flight representative is shy in conversation and keeps mostly to himself.

Born in Wispwillow Grove, both of Ozul's parents came from elsewhere and traveled often. The Shadowbinder favored his birth, bestowing him with the gift of her flowing shadow and, though he may be saddened that so many find the sight disturbing, he is more than grateful to bear the mark of her blessing. Once grown, the guardian settled back in the region he had come from, his admiration of the Shadowbinder becoming reverence during his time spent in her realm.

As he aged, Ozul came to realize that as he was accustomed to other parts of Sornieth already, he was perhaps uniquely suited to represent his dark mother where her shadows couldn't reach. He had enjoyed his time in the Tidelord's realm, perhaps due to the origins of his breed's creation, and chose to migrate there, ultimately finding his way to the Refuge.
