Named after the element Potassium on the Periodic Table of Elements. The 19th element on the periodic table, Potassium is an extremely soft, but highly reactive, slivery white metal, it is so soft you can cut it with a knife! Potassium reacts violently with water however, so handling bare handed is dangerous!
