"Ugh, it was so creepy down there. Normally, I'm good with caves (I mean, you kinda have to be, living here), but I swear we were being watched as soon as we passed the first bend and home was no longer visible. Sunrise said we were simply scaring each other, so I tried to ignore it, but the feeling only went away right before that Wraith struck. I was ready to mark this apparition as the Wraith being able to turn invisible, but after further investigation, I do believe they are different entities. If I must name them, I propose it be a Mirage, as it only appears fully in your periphery and is hazy if seen from anywhere else. It seems to take the shape of a Fae dragon, leading me to believe that it is also a ghost, albeit a less corporeal one.

Although they are separate entities, the Wraith and Mirage seem to work as a pair. I admit to feeling watched before a Wraith attack, and have heard faint whispers in the air on expeditions where I attempted to sneak through the tunnels. If I must guess the dynamic, I suspect Mirage watches for intruders and alerts the Wraith to their presence, ensuring no one gets through. This partnership is enforced by my experiences the one time it made itself almost fully visible: I attempted to kill it, to see if it could defend itself, and was immediately attacked by the Wraith, more viciously than her other warning strikes.

Mirage itself isn't outright hostile, at least not yet, but it is still high on the eradication list due to its pairing with the Wraith and the anxiety it causes anyone who enters the tunnels. It must be neutralized for comfort, if not safety.

I know technically we can’t see Mirage, but they’re still adorable. And their biography is truly something, so well written. I feel like I’m sort of picking Wraith as well with this option, because what I really love about Mirage is the dynamic between your other dragons they have. Their apparel is gorgeous, just like all the others. Just ethereal enough to seem like a ghost without being too minimalist or too much. The windbound mask under the woodmask is a stroke of genius.

Mirage is... very interesting. An extra pair of eyes for the Wraith? Or another entity who watcheds because they can do nonthing else? Really intriguing. Aside fromt hat, good use of an invisibilty cloak. I lov e when people make critters thorugh it.
