“The amount of idiocy that you managed to condense into a single sentence riddled with terrible grammar is truly astounding.” The words roll off her silver tongue like molten gold, dripping with disdain. Her eyes are narrowed on the hunched form across from her, watching as he turns his head to look at her, shock evident across his features. Pathetic - - - did he bother to think before he spoke, or did he say the first half-formed daydream that crossed through his brain?

These council meetings were always so dreadfully boring - - - why she bothers to sit through them and listen to these imbeciles argue about the same thing for hours on end only to come to the same conclusion that she’d proposed at the beginning of the meeting… it was such a colossal a waste of time.

Especially with spineless blubbering fools using up the oxygen in the council room to express illogical, unfounded theories and unconfirmed rumors.

“I… thought it was an important point to make, Auvyn.”

She humphs, golden eyes rolling as if to show him exactly how ridiculous his thought had been. When she looks back at him it’s with her chin raised, casting her gaze down at him as if he were beneath her.

“It’s a good thing we don’t pay you to think, then, isn’t it?”
