PERSONALITY:
Time has done much to tame Beyla's temper, which is considerable since she's still plenty hot-headed. She's fierce, and usually happiest when she's unleashing horrible violence. She revels in the thrill of battle, but is far less inclined to go picking fights with the first person she sees. Time and discipline has tempered her, and though she's quick to anger she's much better at reining in her impulse to eviscerate at the first offense.

She's the kind of person who either you think there's no possible way she'd ever break any law, or she has to be breaking some kind of law. She isn't, but she still harbors a love for her family. They're family, and they'd nurtured her. She was close friends with Deimos up until his death. She doesn't talk about any of them though.

HISTORY:
Beyla's parents were war criminals, how cool was that? What other hatchling could claim such an interesting geneology? Of course Beyla herself had to go and miss the big war, not having been born yet. As a child, Beyla was always aggressive, looking for a reason to mess someone up. She wanted to be a great warrior like her parents. Her mother only encouraged the brawling, while her father preached caution. Even though the war was over her father remained a knight, which Beyla saw as merely a more lawful means of beating people up. She planned on doing the same when she was a bit older, but then one day she spotted a strange blue Wildclaw running through the desert.

He told her some crap about adventures and greatness and a backstory that couldn't have been true. When he cockily told her of his plans to rob and raid though, she was smitten at once. That sounded like what her parents had done. She decided to join him and quickly became his best friend as well as second in command. They wandered the desert for a time, picking up a stand-offish Skydancer on the way. The three were little better than petty crooks, hustling travelers for whatever they had.

News of her mother's death prompted Beyla to come home. She and her dad tried to reconnect, with moderate success, before he also died. To this day she still feels bad that she never really got to know her parents. In an effort to find some connection, Beyla hung around Deimos until he too passed away. Beyla had a weird hipster brother, but she was never fond of him anyways.

Beyla's family is long dead, and as far as she's concerned their legacy is too. Very few dragons remember the warband of Ridgeback terrorists who once infiltrated and laid waste to Clan Stormbay. Ever since her return to the clan, so long ago, Beyla has thrown herself into the service of the clan. She has made it her duty, with a ferocity comperable to a Guardian. Satet, the grand-daughter of Stormbay's first leader and the head of the clan's military force, acknowledged Beyla's service and granted her the rank of lieutenant. It's a safe choice, as Beyla will never challenge Satet's position. Beyla's only ambition is ensuring her treacherous parents are never remembered.

CURRENT PLOTS:
Beyla is generally found patrolling the Stormbay marketplace. She's on relatively friendly terms with most merchants, and often enjoys chatting with them. Make no mistake, though, it's business during business hours.
