Biography
Muskeg and Vaccinius
Recent Events
As the Solstice energies began to depart, the long-Exalted Vaccinius reappeared and merged with his brother, taking on a new shape. While joyful at his brother's return, Muskeg is going to have a great deal of adapting to do. Vaccinius has a mission, but its nature has yet to become clear...
Roles
Ground Patrol, Scavenger, Forager
Overview
Muskeg historically was a mischievous dragon, but became much more subdued after his brother's exaltation. He recently entered a sort of frenzy of combat training, which culminated in the transformation.
Vaccinius historically was studious, diligent, and strongly faithful to Icewarden. It remains to be seen how his time in his lord's halls has changed him.
Physical Description
Acrotelm are a smallish, somewhat lightweight aberration with proportionately enormous wings and a very thick furry mane. Muskeg is on the left, Vaccinius on the right. Both have uncurled, slightly branching horns, though Vaccinius' are somewhat longer.
Combat
Both Muskeg and Vaccinius have extensive training as battle-mages, but while Muskeg prefers to ensnare his opponents feet in ice and then defeat them at his leisure, Vaccinius historically favored a rapidfire hail of freezing missiles. They are as yet untested in combat together.
Origin and History
Muskeg and Vaccinius were two of the first clutch hatched in Northslope, and thus very much the focus of the clan in their hatchlinghood. While Muskeg learned how to lay a scheme from Kalura, Vaccinius spent increasing effort on religious devotion and combat training, eventually culminating in his Exaltation. Muskeg spent the intervening time first listless, and then largely directionless, until more recently he felt spurred to improve his own combat skill. This moved from being something he simply felt he had to do to something he was eager form when he learned he could trip his opponents with his ice.
Kin and Relationships
Muskeg and Vaccinius are the sons of the clan progenitors, Oreamne and Firecoat. Their nest-sister Routa departed before Vaccinius to seek Exaltation in other lands, but some evidence suggests there is more to her story. They have a nest of younger full siblings, with whom they have lost contact, and a number of half-siblings on each side. Those on their father's side are all Exalted, while those on their mother's side reside in Cindercone clan with the exception of Birchtwig. Vaccinius has no independent children, but Muskeg has one daughter Exalted to Plaguebringer, and another in Cindercone.
Muskeg views Kalura as a mentor, and something a bit more fun than a third parent, though he has spent less time with her than he did in his youth.
Vaccinius historically had an interesting friendship with Wraith, who was also the last one to see him off at the mountains. Time will tell if he picks that up again.
