Windrunners originated from a group of mirror dragons who loved to sprint across the Zephyr Steppes and the Reedcliff Ascent, and feel the wind around them as they ran. After many years, they found that their colours began to change and their patterns too, the better to camoflage among the grasses and bamboo forests, and making them excellent hunters.
Many windrunners are weak flyers, but they are still devoted followers of Windsinger, and they use the gusts of the Wind Plateau to speed their running across the plains and steppes. They are some of the fastest sprinters in all the land.
