B I O G R A P H Y

When Bex and Hex's brood began to smoke with a wrathful twilight, they knew that this nest of hatchlings was afflicted with the Wraith's Curse. After the powerful hurricane that ravaged the terrain of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, a curse manifested in the blood of Banescales across Sornieth, strange smoke without heat would waft from their scales and wings. The speculation of the Water flight's seers is that the Wraith's Curse is the Flamecaller showing lament that they were not able to prevent the hurricane while the Tidelord had disappeared from the domain.
Bex and Hex consulted with the wisdom of the Drowned Sanctum's magisters, searching for a way to protect their hatchlings from the Curse. The magisters told them that the Curse wasn't known to cause mortal danger to those it inflicted, but it could harm other non-cursed individuals because they lacked the abnormal immunity to the supernatural fumes. They recommended that once the hatchlings reached youthhood that they be sent to an academy in the Starfall Isles, to live amongst others that carry the abnormal gene while also receiving education from genius professors from the Observatory. The pair of Banescales reluctantly agreed that this would be the best course for their hatchlings once they reached the age.

THE SORCEROUS AWAKENING
Soon after his arrival at one of the Observatory's academies, Arkhan showed a very promising affinity for arcane elemental arts. He seemed to develop an uncanny resistance to lightning damage and his mood swings would coordinate with the weather of the skies. His instructors were used to strange weather phenomena occurring so no one took notice as strange energy began to build in Arkhan's mana pool. Many moons passed until Arkhan's symptoms became undeniable, while others would avoid gale winds and lightning blasts, he felt perfectly at home within, drawn to the fury and unrelenting power. Arkhan graduated from that academy as one of the most talented Storm sorcerers seen in many decades.
As a newly graduated Storm sorcerer, Arkhan wanted to make a pilgrimage to the very father of Sornieth's storms, the Stormcatcher. Naive and daring, he decided to leave the Observatory with his close friend Burun and travel out of the Starfall Isles under the blessing of a full moon night.
