Pumpkin

There was silence, a dark silence, for time beyond counting. Then - CRACK! - the large sound echoed through her head. Again and again, until a shard of silver moonlight touched her for the first time in time untold. As the imprisoning stone crumbled from around her, Pumpkin brought her blurry sight to a focus, moving muscles that had lain dormant, and looked around. She was utterly alone.

Turning her face up to burning beacon above, she let the cold light of the moon bathe her, welcome her, soothe her. An hour passed, and the moon had shifted her position in the sky, sent a tug to Pumpkin's soul to find her place. So, she took to the air (It felt so good to stretch her wings! Did her former companions survive to fly again?) and let the moon lead her through the night.

When the morning kissed the sky, Pumpkin was flying over the twisted jungles of the Viridian Labyrinth. The moon settled to the horizon somewhere within the verdant greenery, so Pumpkin took to the ground beside a boggy swamp. Looking around, she chose a direction to walk at random and soon was walking across the borders of the nameless clan, where she saw Yehpo.

The female Obolisks stared at each other for a long moment, then Yehpo beamed a smile and said, "Welcome home, sister!"
