Personal: Isaiah is a bit of a different breed. As one of the original Obelisks carved by the Earthshaker's hand, he is certainly his own, unique dragon; and doesn't easily appeal to the conventions of others. His deepest instinct is to protect, and this applies to those he considers his family. Whether that is all of Sornieth, all of the clan, or only his blood relations... nobody truly knows. He is very stoic, making him hard for other dragons to easily read or understand (although Skydancers seem to have an edge on him with their antennae). Though he is standoffish, deep down his heart is pure... and on rare occasions, he might just let it show. Isaiah has incredible mental capabilities. Where claws and magic bolts fail, words are his greatest and most powerful weapon. He can think through things like some kind of machine and determine the optimal outcome, and how to achieve it in the most efficient way possible. His powers of mind trickery and manipulation have no equal, perhaps not even the Shadowbinder herself. Though this is a valid reason for fear, he utilizes his abilities masterfully to further his campaign and vision of a better future. He may have opposers, but those who follow him have already reaped the benefits many times over. _____________________________________________________ Backstory: At first Isaiah was but a dormant statue, just as all the original Obelisks were; his figure standing tall and stunningly beautiful. But, when the dig team reached his kin and they began to wake, Isaiah did not follow suit. He stayed locked within his stony form. Knowingly, another Obelisk, a female with a bright violet hide, carried him carefully to the surface. There, a spectacular transformation took place. A storm that churned overhead produced a brilliant bolt of lightning, which struck and shattered Isaiah's dormant form. With a glow of electric power, Isaiah finally awoke, emerging with shining Lightning eyes though his other colors were dulled. Happy with what she had accomplished, the other Obelisk led a groggy Isaiah towards his destiny... The two traveled together until the wind changed, after which they parted ways. Isaiah, still with a strange air of sleepiness, found himself somewhere in the Viridian Labyrinth. With a yawn, he allowed himself to be led by the surrounding energies, heading towards an anomalous pull of Lightning energy. It was then that he ended up in Clan Duneberry, teeming with charged duneberries. Immediately, something sparked inside of him. His fatigue was erased and replaced with surging energy; like a Guardian and its charge, Isaiah had found his calling. Newly revitalized, Isaiah bounded toward the nearest dragon he saw. ~~~Lore~~~ Met with a warm welcome, Isaiah climbed up the clan hierarchy at a blinding pace, reaching the very top of the high class almost as soon as he came. As he stayed around the clan's mixed energy, his true colors began to show; literally. Spines started poking out along his back, his mane began to shimmer with a breathtaking gloss, beautiful patterns formed across his body in a charming floral design resembling petals. He was a marvel of the clan, a mastermind like no other. It seemed he could work without stopping, his efficiency was unmatched. His sheer ability to get things done left the rest of clan in the dust as Isaiah shot forward in progress. And this certainly attracted many dragons' attention... Isaiah became the new leader as Goldenrod made the personal decision to move into the Kaga's domain, where she could be with others of Light. Isaiah was not just chosen for his skill and status, however. He was specifically requested by Stormy to lead, for his mind and heart were like no other, and she seemed to know something a little more about him than other dragons. Both players are a bit of an anomaly to the clan, but their synchronous work has it thriving, and so, dragons relish Isaiah's leadership. It seems only fitting that he's the first of Lightning; and, interestingly enough... the first male to lead. Isaiah took on his new role with great stead. He saw the amazing potential of the clan, the future a bountiful field before his eyes. His plans were ambitious, outright dangerously so, but if anyone could see them through, it was him, for he had proven this level of ultimate talent. In order to transform the clan into the blooming center he knew it could be, though, he needed just a bit more power. And he knew just where to get it - he looked no further than the Shifting Expanse. Though the Earthshaker had crafted his body, it was the Stormcatcher who gave him his spirit, and it was him who he worked under. It was about time he paid a visit, it being Thundercrack Carnivale and all. Isaiah assembled a small group for his journey, the most notable of which he selected being Reflection. He knew he needed her for his plan, and she was already more than eager to participate. They set off and traveled far, trudging through the Gladeveins, over the sea, through the Emperor ridden territory of Light, and across the deadly barren desert, before at last reaching the Tempest Spire. Isaiah scheduled a brief meeting with the Boss. When it was time for their confrontation, Isaiah brought only Reflection with him to meet the great elemental god. Then he proposed his business dealing: to bring the Stormcatcher's powerful lightning enterprise with him to the Labyrinth, and expand it there. It was a win-win for the both of them, he convinced. The Lightning deity accepted his offer (to Reflection's surprise, but not to Isaiah's) and granted them both his blessing. Isaiah wore an excited and triumphant grin all the way back to Clan Duneberry territory. Not even a day after he returned, the Power Bay was completed. It was only the first change of many to come... Isaiah was going to transform the clan into the lightning grove it deserved, and yearned, to be. That was his primary mission. Not to say he doesn't have a few secondary missions though...

______Having never been a child himself, Isaiah has had possibly the most unique experience as a father out of any dragon. You might just catch him groveling to Kayne about the matter if you keep a close eye. The otherwise powerful Obelisk may still have much to learn about the topic at hand, however, there is one thing he understands well about his offspring.
They have his same zest for adventure and expansion.
Though he may be reluctant to show or admit it when questioned, seeing this in them brings much joy and pride to Isaiah. He is a dragon of many missions and goals; as leader of Clan Duneberry, as member of an exclusive group of Obelisks, perhaps as a protector of Sornieth itself... But as a father, his goal and mission is to allow this trait to shine brightly and flourish in his children.

In order to achieve this, Isaiah allows them perfect freedom.

______It certainly took some convincing to get their mother to agree, but at last, at the turn of the new year, the youths were allowed to be set free into the world. He gathered them all together, encouraged each one to reach for their highest height, and assured them that they had the might of their parents at their side. Most of all, he told them to follow their heart and trust in their spirit (with a comment from Kayne to also take well care of themselves and not be reckless).
The next day, the kids had made their decisions. The oldest clutch decided to stay in the clan. They had lived their whole life here thus far, enjoyed their position, their life; and intended to stay forever close to their family and friends. The two youngest clutches, however, held an excited spark within them. They hungered for the wide world and wanted to explore it, and its diverse inhabitants. To live their lives as travelers, adventurers; forever on the cusp of danger and discovery. And so, they set off, soon separating to follow their own paths.
Isaiah was sure they would all achieve greatness. He loves them more than he even knows.
