The last of the fourteen families and the only one who remembers the time before. He remembers their petty squabbles, how rich the land was and how happy they were. Now he holds them together and hates birds.

In the beginning there was two dragons, a nest with potential and a quiet cave overlooking the western sea. This was the time with Atratus the first warrior with the birth of the twin tigers and plentiful food. The time of quiet contemplation and an open door for any who wanted to live there.

This was the time of Peace.

Then the Egg was found with Shade in its heart. The fourteen families were founded after the Murder at the Black council and the departure of the progenitor and her guard with Gyrus, the first chieftain and the first victim of the shade, stepping forward to take her place. Sides were drawn between brothers and the voices whispered in the dreams and waking minds of all those who could stand to live there. Its whispers softened by the fifteen soldiers who slept a deep vigil on the edges of the western sea.

This was the time of Legacy.

The Cataclysm, as the Shade in the families was released in the vast howl that was absorbed so deeply into the soil and life of their territory. Nothing would grow, nothing would swim, nothing would fly over their lands and it remains that way until this day. A small clan made of orphans follows the last remaining member of the fourteen families, Shifter who had watched the cataclysm happen. While their children driven wild by the whispers in their minds tear apart their territory and keep their families in constant fear.
