After the Byrgenwerth clan fell to ruin amidst their former founder's hubris, those who remained fled to the depths of the Tangled Wood. Due to the clan's penchant of taking in stragglers and refugees from other regions, once their leaders had fallen what camaraderie had once existed between them disintegrated rapidly under the stress of the forced flight to unfamiliar territory.. It was only thanks to Liav, an otherwise unusually reserved Earth Skydancer, that the clan was not utterly torn apart by the inter-elemental conflict. The young Skydancer has since taken up the mantle as the leader of the newly reformed Byrgenwerth clan with Leto and Cypress - the only survivor of the original clan - by his side, and goes out of his way to resolve any issues personally, even if it sometimes grows taxing.
