______ Giardia hatched in Quarantine Zone #128, alongside her two sisters, and she was the eldest of the three. She was born as a prime ideal model of what a plague dragon should be in the eyes of her clan, and she was put on a pedestal to be the new standard. But she didn't like it; her many eyes showed she was of plague, but her heart called out to the world and all its elements. She wanted to see the world, be kind and understanding. She wanted to spread goodness and joy, not disease.

______ One day, she'd heard the clan leaders talking about planning to exalt her to the Plaguebringer as grand gesture to curry her favor. This scared Giardia, and she soon ran away under the cover of night, never to return to the Quarantine Zone. She traveled the world, but everywhere she went she was feared, shunned, or stared at. Why? Because she was the highest standard of a Plague dragon. She looked terrifying to those who did not embrace Plague. For a long time, she thought she would always be feared for her looks, and never given a chance...

______ All that changed on the day she arrived in this clan. She pleaded for refuge and a chance to settle, and the Leaders, while hesitant, agreed. She offered her services at first as a hunter/gatherer, which was accepted. She was at first quite feared among those who don't know her; she only appeared monstrous and terrifying, but in reality she wanted to be seen as more than her element .On one hunt, she'd injured herself badly, and was taken to the medic, Gentara. Gentara mended her up, and as she did Giardia found herself gazing into her own wounds. She found that as she looked, she could see the very details of what made the wound harmful and painful; every cell, every germ, she could see it all. She told Gentara of this, and directed her in how and where to disinfect her based on her vision. The two of them reported the discovery to Gloria, who gave Giardia authorization to start medical training under Gentara.

______ From there on, Giardia began to embrace her element, but on her own terms. Now that she found that with her eyes she's able to diagnose down to the tiniest bits of a dragon's body, she understood that Plague and disease is a part of life, it's just as important to eradicate as it is to let it fester. There needs to be a balance, like the Plaguebringer and the Gladekeeper. She realized that she simply prides in her flight, not necessarily its reputation. And so, Giardia embodied the Plague side of that duality. Seeing this, Geodette offered her a position as the Clan representative for the Plague Flight, which she happily agreed. She still helps Gentara with the occasional patient, and with this, she finally feels like she's in her element.
