A bridge across the dried streambed takes you to a place where the wind always howls. Its low and far-off cries fill your chest with hollow, aching yearning. The air smells of cinder and the long shadows of the willows sway and dance around you.

A little lake awaits you, where she onetime loved to bathe. Now the dried leaves and the dead, chitinous things float on its leaden-like surface. You stand barefoot on the shore as the cold water gently laps over your feet.

Her silent statue guards the lake, a translucent, thin veil of marble resembling the strands of light obscures its weathered face. If you gaze into the hazy reflection for a while, it'll whisper the tales through the wails of the wind, the tales of love without a name and the rotting, sodden bones.
